My story starts with struggling to breathe and stay active with other sports. I used to play basketball, baseball, and even tried football, but with my severe allergies and asthma, it's hard for a kid like me to play those type of sports. About 6 years ago, I was offered by my grandfather gary Adams to swim at the rec league for Cal State University Bakersfield. I enjoyed it my first year, then began to swim every year. In 2016, I started swimming club, I became more committed to the sport and at that moment I knew I needed to be involved swim. I stayed active, worked hard, and never gave up.
