About Me

I attend Temescal Canyon High School where I play running back on the varsity football team and I also played basketball as well. During my first summer camp for football, I was trying out for WR and I was in the first team group. After we did drills for the coach to evaluate us, I was told that I could better serve my team and be great playing running back. At the end of the season - as running back - I had 23 carries, 10 receptions, 9 touchdowns and 247 yds. During this time, the varsity head coach said that he had been watching me and he wanted me to get reps with the varsity players. At this time, headed into my sophomore year, was when I found out I would be bumped up to play varsity football. I was pumped. After that, my max weights/reps started going up, and I was really improving in the weight room. Unfortunately for me, a few days before we started summer camp for my sophomore season, I tore my Meniscus and sprained my ACL. I sat out my whole sophomore year and just continued to try and get better so that I could make it back my junior year. During the spring I went back to working out with the football team. My maxes were going up and up. At our school we have this thing for our maxes where we combine them all and the total number of your combine makes falls into a group. The groups are Lightning, ironman, and elite. Lightning = 1000 Ironman= 1200 and Elite= 1500. Right now I am at 1465. As the season progressed, my coach wanted me to play JV because I missed a whole season and he wanted me to get back in the groove of things. As suggested by my coach, this season I played JV and V. I lead my JV team to a 7-3 record and we were league champs. For this whole season I averaged 10 ypc, had over 2,000 yards rushing, and 14 TDs. For varsity we made it to the second round of the CIF playoffs. Going into our second game of playoffs, I injured my knee but I should be ready for the upcoming season. Football has taught me so many things that will carry on with me for the rest of my life. I understand that football doesn’t last forever, but I plan on riding this football train until I reach my stop.
