Since a very young age, I have craved competitive environments that challenge me mentally and physically.  I am different from other recruits due to the fact that I have been advanced a grade level.  This allows me to be challenged by athletes with higher competition.  Also, I feel that this has improved my skills as a basketball player.   
    I consider myself to be a hard worker and a focused individual on and off the court.  I am a 6'3" sixteen year old individual that has experienced a fair amount of success as a high school basketball player.  My high school team made it to the city section playoffs and were D1 exposition league champs. During off season, I have received gold medals in track and have played volleyball, but my heart and passion is in basketball.     
      I am training everyday to ensure that I am in my best physical condition possible for my upcoming season.  I am doing countless hours of lifting weights, playing pick up basketball games, running the track, practicing my shooting, and running drills.  I am determined and dedicated to performing at the best of my abilities.
      I am a team player that seeks to motivate and encourage my teammates.  I am an open minded person that seeks suggestions and welcomes advice that will help improve my abilities and skills as an athlete.  Through out my life, I have learned that hard work, determination, persistence, and discipline are only a few key characteristics required to be a successful individual and basketball player.  I will apply these lessons in pursuit of my Sport Management degree.
       My aspirations and collegiate goals would be to be the first in my family to graduate from a 4 year college with a Bachelor's Degree and to continue my education to receive my Master's Degree.  The lessons that I have learned on and off the court will be applied to my life and eventually in my college education.  I aspire to be a sports broadcaster or a sports agent.  To be able to pass on all the knowledge and experiences that I have learned and have went through to help inspire someone else would be a great accomplishment for me.
