About Me

My Name is Demouy Booker-Hill I am soon to be 18yrs old. I have a disabled brother and my single mother at home with myself. My mom put me in sports early in my life. I played pop Warner football until the age of 10 then I found a undying love for basketball. I played on AAU teams and and the school basketball ball team in 7th and 8th grade. In 9th grade I did football and was set to play on basketball team. Things were cool & fun for a while then our home burned down and we went to stay with my grandma. I had to switch schools and things were rough for awhile. I struggled with the new move and adjustment a lot. My Grandpa went in a coma at the end of 2019 and didn’t come out until the end of January 2020. My grandma passed away unexpectedly and it hurt our entire family really bad in February 2020. (It really hurt) she was one of my main supporters. She was a awesom person. I miss her. Things got bad be for the got better. My mom had to quit her job at the state to take care of my grandpa who continuously went into different comas all 2020. She also started her business (catering). I tried as hard as I could to get through distant learning. I was so glad when school started back. I knew I could do good in class and I was determined to as well. I wanted to play basketball but at this point I also just wanted to graduate as well. We got to go back to school this year. I work hard to maintain good grades. I am optimistic about playing college ball. After our last couple of years. I just wanna make it and be a successful adult. Basketball is what helped me get through. All the times I had available when I wasn’t doing distant learning I went to the court to relieve stress. That also helped me to stay on my toes.  Thank you
