My first time playing tennis was 9th grade where I worked my way up to #2 singles then playing #1 singles in 10th grade. In 11th year as #1 singles I evolved into new levels of commitment and passion for the sport, spending 3 hours every possible weekday practicing and spending up to 6 hours practicing on weekends developing my technique but most importantly my mental game. My results showed when I had my first ever positive season being 3 and 3, only having 6 games because of the Covid-19 pandemic. After season I continued to practice and began enrolling in tournaments where I was able to gain more match experience, eventually being able to win the consultation bracket of a tournament, competing at higher levels. Now in 12th grade, in my senior year my current win/loss record is 7 wins and 2 losses playing at the #1 singles position, still practicing just as long and hard whenever weather permits. I'm shooting for state and will continue to play in tournaments after season.
