About Me

It was the year of 2019 when I was a Freshman in high school. I had bad grades I would be a clown in class and wouldn’t exactly care for school. Looking back on it today the main reason I was like that is because I didn’t have a goal in mind at all for high school all I wanted to do was do track and XC. Once track season came around I tried out for the team and made it. I knew the gpa requirement was a 2.0 but since no one said anything about my gpa I thought it was ok. The first meet I had I was the 1st leg in the 4X4. Someone had false started but I had kept running not knowing that 2 gun shots means false start. Once I realized that I was already at the 200 meter mark and I was already tired. When the shot the gun again I was doing good but because I didn’t realize that someone had false started before I was tired after 200m which coast is the race. After that day I was depressed because I felt like everything was my fault. My grades dropped even more than what they were I stopped listening to my parents and I became a rebel. Then one day my coach coach Perry told me about my gpa and that I couldn’t run in the meets but I could still come to the practices. I miss heard that and took it for me being kicked off the team which had me depressed even more. Then a week after Covid hit and I got quarantined for 2 years until I became a junior. The year of 2020 I was a sophomore in virtual school. I did absolutely nothing the first quarter and half of the second quarter of the school year because I felt like there was nothing for me anymore my high school life was over before it even began I can’t become a track athlete like I had wanted so there is no point for me going to school. That was my mind set until my dad had took me to Burger King and asked me what I wanted to do after high school. I told him I wanted to become an Olympian but there was no point since I can’t join the team. He then asked me what do I want to do if that doesn’t work out. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t have an answer. That day I thought about it. I knew for a fact that I wanted to become an Olympian for track and field but I didn’t have a back up. When I thought about it I was looking through my phone and realized that I can become a software engineer since I like messing with technology so much. Once I told my dad that he told me then go to school and study for that. Since then I had brought up my grades from straight F’s to A’s and B’s. When summer came I had realized the true purpose for me personally to have a back up plan. Since I knew what I wanted to do if I got injured as a track athlete I could become a software engineer since I had studied for it. Two years has passed since that day. It was a long hard road for me in my junior year 2021-2022 I had a lot of course recovery to do and had to take my classes very seriously but not so serious to where I don’t enjoy it either. Now I have a 2.5 gpa as I’m currently working towards a 3.0 and I became a track athlete for my school. Even though I was quarantined for half of my high school life I still managed to bounce back and achieve what I wanted to achieve. Now my goal is to break the school record for the 400m dash in my senior year 2023.
