Hello my name is Jason Rodriguez II, and I play center back and outside wingback for Southeast Bulloch High School's Varsity squad. This is my second year starting on the defensive line ever since moving to this school in the summer of 2019. Before moving to Statesboro, I played for Atlanta Fire United's select program since the seventh grade up till my sophomore year of high school. I have always played recreational soccer since elementary, but I never truly saw it as something I wanted to pursue at a competitive level. As I grew older I became more attached the sport and tried out for AFU's select program. Over years I would gradually progress from lower level teams to played for the U17 Elite team in 2018. During those years, I slowly went from a transition from playing goalkeeper to defender, where I would stay at through high school.

After moving four hours away to the small town of Statesboro, I would not join the local clubs for I drew tired of the sport and needed a new experience during the fall. Therefore I joined my school's football team so I could get adjusted to the new area smoothly. In the end it all payed off and I grew stronger and faster for the upcoming Spring season. My Junior season started off great as I would be named starter my first game at the school and it would stay that way for the rest of the season. However, our season was cut short not even half way, and left my chances of getting college attention was shortened a year. 

After all the ups and downs of 2020, and dealing with my struggles and humps in the road, my Senior season is finally here. I wish to pursue soccer at the collegiate level, and truly develop as an amazing defender and most importantly grow as a person. I am willing to help whichever program regardless of record or conference; my goal is to win and change a team. I want to form a bond with teammates and peers while playing at one of the highest levels. College soccer is where I want to play and where I want to stay, it is my passion.
