Six out of the Seven day week I am practicing, playing, working out. Doing whatever it takes to get better. My life is consumed by Softball, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have always loved sports, however Softball has always stood out from the moment I set foot on the field. I knew from the first time I played I wanted to play for the rest of my life. Playing at the college level is my ultimate goal, it has been my dream for as long as I can remember. Catching is my position, and there is no other place on the entire field I would rather play. Some people think I am crazy because I wear all the gear in the heat, and squat half of the game, or get the biggest bruises, but all I can tell them is I love it. I love the adrenaline rush you get when the ball is pitched, and when you frame strike three to win the game, or throwing out runners to second, or the thrill you get when you tag the runner coming home. Isn’t that what everyone wants, to make the big play or hit the homerun. That’s what we all strive for, to make the next great play because that is the most important one, the next one.
