About Me
My name is Trevor Gichachi and, outside of school, I am active in sports. Football has shaped my perspective on many aspects of my life. It forces me to weightlift, run and hydrate constantly. Football allows me to develop qualities such as discipline, which influence my day-to-day decisions. The sport changes me subconsciously, programming me to push myself to take that extra repetition and give it my all constantly, only accepting my full potential in everything, including school. During my junior year of high school, I dislocated my left wrist. It felt as if a large part of me was taken away. I remember not being able to sleep the night it happened because it was as if part of my identity took a hit. This same night, I started to ask the bigger questions on where I was headed in life. I realized that I needed a plan that would require specific goals, which needed to be executed. The next day, I wrote out my long-term goals and began to execute, knowing that football was only a short-term goal that would keep me focused. I also made a promise to always stick to my goals and never relent them.
