About Me

I am a two sport athlete.  I started playing field hockey in 7th grade not knowing what to expect.  I loved it and found out I was actually better than I thought I would be.  I've been playing and starting every game since 7th grade.  I am a very outgoing person and my personality is as big as my long hits.  I am a little goofy, ok a lot goofy but all serious on the field. Although I have been known to do a toe touch while waiting to go back on the field. This is my first year playing club field hockey and was fortunate to go to the NIT's this year as well as the President's Day Showcase.  I generally play forward, but can play mid or defense.  I plan on traveling as much as I possibly can with IFHCK.  I have to prove myself to IFHCK as well as to all the coaches who haven't had the opportunity to really see me play in person and only get to experience it through video.  We (yes my mom and me) are still trying to figure it out so please don't be jealous over the amazing video quality.
Lacrosse is as important to me as field hockey. Super excited to be on the Varsity team as a sophomore because I am only 1 of 4.  My mom made me play and I am so thankful she did because I love it.  I am a starter for the Varsity team as a defender.  I can play anywhere on the field that the coach needs me.
My speed is one of my biggest assets as I will run  as hard as I can to beat anyone to the ball.  I have two nicknames.  First one is brick.  I actually won an award from my Ballard Lacrosse team last year, called the Brick award.  People still try to run through me but I am like a brick wall they say so that one has stuck.  The other is bulldog.  I got that nickname when I was a freshman from some of my teammates.  Not sure why but I kind of like it.
Education is as important to me if not more so than my sports.  OK, It might actually be even.  I want a school that will give me the same quality and challenges as my sports team.  I have a love for learning and helping so whatever college decides that they want me will hopefully be able to give me the competition from the best students and professors to push me to be the best I can.  That is what I want from both athletics and education.
