My name is Jashaiya Irby, and I’m a 2027 graduate at Benjamin Franklin High School at Masonville Cove in Baltimore, Maryland. I’m a varsity soccer player and I play attacking midfielder. I’ve competed at a high level through ECNL and have attended ID camps across the country to challenge myself and gain exposure. Those experiences have helped me grow technically, tactically, and mentally as a player. I also play basketball, which has improved my footwork, vision, and overall athleticism.
My goal is to compete at the highest level possible while earning a strong education that prepares me for life after soccer. I’m constantly working to improve my creativity in the final third, decision-making under pressure, and leadership on and off the field. I take pride in being coachable, disciplined, and a teammate who brings energy every day.
In a college, I’m looking for a competitive program with a strong culture, high standards, and coaches who push their players to grow. Academically, I want a school that challenges me and supports my long-term career goals. I want to play sports in college because I love the game and the process — the work, the competition, and being part of something bigger than myself. Soccer has shaped my character, and I’m ready to continue that journey at the next level.
