About Me

I started playing basketball when I was 3 years old and I have not put a basketball down sense. The first basketball game what was Michael Jordan's last game. Since that day I've been in love with the game of basketball. The first organized basketball team I played for was in fifth grade for the Warren Community Center. In 5th and 6th grade I love my team in all statistical categories but the most memorable moment of that time was when I was ejected from a game for scoring too many points. In 7th and 8th grade I was the second leading scorer on those teams. The most important part of my story is the summer before my freshman year. After not receiving much playing time or recognition for my basketball talents and skills, from the JV coach at the time, I spent all summer in my basement dribbling my basketball day and night, sweating endlessly through every single shirt I had. After the last day of that summer league I valve that I would be a more improved player with a work ethic in school that would never be questioned or unnoticeable. After spending a summer of playing basketball all day and night some nights without even eating I went into first gear much lighter and slimmer then the year before and I was not very confident in my game. Bow season had ended I knew that tryouts were around the corner and I couldn't wait. On the first day of tryouts I was both anxious and excited to get my high school basketball career started but unfortunately there had been a mistake with my physical forms and I had missed the first day of tryouts. That walk home was a major building block for my belief and faith in Jesus Christ. There were originally 3 scheduled days for tryouts but due to a snow day there were only two and I only had one chance at making the team. By the glory and grace of Jesus did I make the team with only one day of tryouts. Since that day, I've been a Warren Mott basketball player and I've played up a level every year for the past three years. My junior season was an interesting year that can only be described as a mountain, in which case there were ups, downs and steady moments. I started the season off with very little playing time and as the season went on I came into a starting player and I had a season-high of 16 points. With the knowledge I've gotten after this season I plan to carry it on to next season and achieve more than others believed possible. This is only the beginning of my story and all glory goes to Jesus Christ, my savior.
