About Me
I ran onto the softball field for the first time when I was 8 years old. I had been watching my older sister play for as long as I could remember. At the time I was too young to play myself, so I watched, and I practiced, and I ran through scenarios in my head while I patiently waited for my 8th birthday to come around. Once it finally came, I tried out for 10u and my career began.
I ran out to my position in left field for the first time with a big smile on my face. The very first batter hit a line drive right at me. I stuck my glove out and it went in. I was hooked!
Softball has taught me how to set goals, how to work hard to achieve them, and how to handle both success and failure. Simply playing the sport brings me purpose and passion.
I love how softball brings out the best person in me and gives me opportunities that others can only wish for. I love how it is my answer and resolution to everything. Most of all, I love competing against girls who feel the same way.
