Clutch player; extremely versatile; high vball IQ, strives to be a 6 point player; gritty, resilient (overcame an ACL injury on 11/2019, cleared 11/2020); coachable and strong leadership skills
I started playing volleyball in 3rd grade. In 2019, I was selected for USA Volleyball Select Skills program (outside hitter). My skills evaluation scores were between 4 and 4+ (on a 5 points scale). In 2019, my 14U team qualified for GJNC in Indiana in the National division, finishing 25th.My freshman year I started on JV as captain and played outside all the way around. I swung up to varsity for the post season but I tore my ACL in the warm ups. I rehabbed during the quarantine was cleared to return to volleyball in November 2020. I also played tennis which helped to correct my lateral movement. I have returned stronger, faster, and jumping higher prior to my injury. In fact, I continue to attend jump and speed training twice a week in addition to practice and private lessons with coaches at my club. I played right side all around on my high school varsity team in the 20-21 season. I am playing pinhitter/ds for the 16-1 national team at my club and we have qualified for 2021 GJNC in Las Vegas.My current GPA is 3.8 and a few of my favorite classes are Biology, Medical Terminology, and Teaching Young Children.
