About Me
Since the age of seven, softball has been my biggest passion. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of three. Softball has given me an avenue to help physically and emotionally manage this disease. Having so much love for the sport has also helped me cope with my emotions. Constantly having to monitor my blood sugar and food intake to make sure I am where I need to be to play has been a struggle over the years; however, softball has pushed me to want to take care of myself physically so that I can contribute one hundred percent to my team. I am thankful for all of the opportunities and friendships softball has given me throughout the years. Continuing my career in college would be an amazing opportunity not only because it would allow me to further my education while playing the sport I love, but it would also allow me to contribute to a new team at a higher level.
