About Me

I’ve played baseball forever and it’s always been something I felt like I needed to always be getting better at. As a ball player growing up I was not always the greatest. Tee ball and coach were fairly easy to me until I started playing kid pitch. I struggle my first fall playing kid pitch. I wanted to quit. However I pushed through and made my middle school team from doing 2 years of cross fit and 2 years of being on a swim team. So I was a pretty competitive kid. I made varsity as a 6th grader and played in a few games not too much. High school came along and I made the team very easily. I set goals as a young freshman to play in the spring. A few blessings happened and I earned a starting spot in the outfield. Although I was primarily a third basemen at the time. I had something other players didn’t at my age. I was able to hit the ball gap to gap as a freshman and had “double-power”. Sophomore year I bulked up some and was putting balls out of the park in practices and hit two out as a sophomore. With about 14 doubles. Junior year was the year I matured into the player I am now. Our team faced adversity through the season and we overcame the majority of it until our sub-state game. Eagelville was looking to get back to the state tournament since they had been in the championship game 4 years back. Eagleville faces Loretto’s superstar, Ryan Weathers. Currently playing in the padres organization and he went 7th overall in the 2018 mlb draft. Through ought the game he struck everyone out basically with a 95 mpg fastball and wide range of other pitches. Two people put the ball into play, Eagles ace Austin wells, and Jonah clement. However earlier that week Eagleville was challenged with current Vanderbilt pitcher, Luke Murphy, who tops out at 94 mph. Eagleville got the sub state ticket after putting up 7 runs on Murphy. Jonah went 2/3 with a double and 2 rbis and a run. Probably one of the best games out team had played that year. Senior came and we brought back every starter and were bound for a state tournament appearance. We worked super hard in the off season and came out hot in the spring. The first inning in the season we hit 2 homeruns. 2 players in their first ABs of the season had bombs. Season kept rolling and we ended up winning a district title and I hit a solo homerun in the third inning after in the first AB of the game hitting a really long foul ball that left the park. I was dialed in for my senior season hitting over .300 with about 13 doubles, 2 triples and 4 homeuns with a grand slam and 25 rbis.
