I have worked extremely hard to be the best baseball player possible, but worked even harder to overcome a learning disability - Dyslexia. I was diagnosed as dyslexic in 3rd grade and over the next 4-1/2 years devoted the majority of my time to private tutoring to improve with my reading and comprehension. This determination led to me being inducted into the National Junior Honor Society while in middle school. My academic excellence has carrried over into high school where I currently maintain a 3.82 GPA and was inducted into the National Honor Society for academic achievements. Dyslexia may be considered a disability for some, but I use it as motivation to continue to work hard and to always find ways of overcoming any obstacle. I use this same mindset while grinding to improve and grow as a baseball player, but more importantly striving to become a future college student-athlete.
