I was born in New Bern, NC and at the age of 5 I started playing basketball. I started out as the shortest player on the court but I always played as if I was the biggest one out there. I can play all positions but I'm working to perfect my skill as a small forward. In 7th grade my family and I moved to Lawton, OK for my mom to continue her career in the military and to provide a better life for my brother and I. While in Oklahoma I played basketball in middle school (7th and 8th grade) and my freshman year of high school. I got to experience different types of competition than I was used to in North Carolina. My freshman year of high school I played on the freshman, junior varsity and varsity teams. At the beginning of my sophomore year my mom got stationed in Virginia Beach, VA. My first year being at Cox high school in Virginia Beach I assisted in helping my team win Regionals for the first time. During that game I was one of the top scorers. Playing at the college level has always been a goal of mine with hopes of one day playing in the NBA. To reach my goal I am going to continue to work hard and stay dedicated to perfect my game on the court.
