About Me

My name is Auston Downs and I am a junior at Moses Lake High School. I’m looking forward to the rest of my junior year and next year when I am a senior. I play on the Varsity team as a starting right guard and I also play left tackle, I play anywhere the coaches need me on the offensive line. I have been playing football for 10+ years now and have loved every minute of it. I’ve played both offense and defense throughout this time and always pushing to learn more. I’ve attended several football camps and strive to do all I can to improve. Our football team became Big 9 League Champions for the first time, we made it to the quarter finals in the playoffs and striving to do even better next year, I push my teammates to be the best they can, I was nominated for team captain. My dream is to play football on the college level and beyond, I know that I have a lot to offer any school. After football practice I help to coach one of our local Grid Kids (3rd/4th & 5th/6th grade) football teams, 3 days a week. I enjoy being able to help them improve their skills, succeed in what position they want to play and just being a role model and teaching them about football and sportsmanship. I also referee for Grid Kids twice a week. After football I work out at our local CrossFit establishment to stay in shape and improve athletically and also take an advanced conditioning classes. Stats: Shuttle 4.87, Vertical 24.2 and my 40 in 5.32, all taken at WSU Camp 2015. My bench is 335lbs and my squat was 425lbs, taken during summer APX workouts. This year I was nominated and competed in the Offense Defense All American Bowl this year in Daytona Beach Florida. Camps Attended: Went to the Seattle Trench Camp 2015, WSU Mini Camp 2015, Mountie Big Man Camp 2015, 2015 Barton Academy Winter Showcase, Northwest Elite Football Camp 2015 & 2014, EWU Football Camp 2015 & 2014, SPARQ Nike Combine in Seattle 2014 and CWU Football Camp 2013. APX 2013, 2014 and 2015, Advanced Conditioning 2013, 2014, and 2015, also taking CrossFit. Also competed on the Varsity track team my sophomore year for shock put and discus.
