About Me

     My name is Dylan Ray and I am working out daily to reach my goals of becoming a professional baseball player. Baseball is more than a game to me it is my life. I have learned that sometimes doors in life I am wanting to go thru may be closed, or the answer I am praying for is "no", and this has only solidified my drive and helped to built the GRIT I have found I have. When asked by a coach from Jacksonville State University to share one word or phrase that defines me my response was, "My name is Dylan Ray and I never give up!" 
     I am solid corner player with a strong bat. I perform well under pressure, or clutch situations, 2 outs with a 3-2 count do not phase me, wether I am the pitcher or batter. I adapt quickly to changes in the game and am able to make game changing decisions due to my dedication to the game from the age of 4 years old. I am a team player that gets along well with my coaches and players. I have a variety of pitches that I pull from with a very low era. I am effective at hitting my spots and adapting my pitches to either strike out batters or cause them to pop out. My coaches have all noted that I perform well under pressure and have even stated, "If we are in a clutch situation with 2 outs I pray that its Dylan Ray's turn up to bat!" and "I have to say that going into the Alabama state tournament I thought Dylan was my 4th best pitcher, but during the final game, he proved to be my Ace."

My goals are....

1. To continue playing for my High School Varsity Team and Club Teams while in high school.
2. To continue to be advised and influenced by respected baseball players and organizations.
3. To continue to be invited to attend elite showcases and all-star teams.
4. To be invited to play on the collegiate level on scholarship and start as a freshman.
5. Receive my degree in Business. 
6. To be drafted by a professional baseball organization.
