For the entirety of my life, I have struggled massively with my weight. I was continuing down a dangerous path of having the idea that I could eat the same foods of everyone around me, which is not true. It was not until September of 2018 where I realized I need to change something. I made the decision to see this amazing doctor, and she recommended the ketogenic diet, and some supplements I could take. Since then I have been going strong, and at the beginning of my journey I was over 265 pounds. In the first six months I lost over 35 pounds, and I am continuing to lose weight, gain confidence, and I am significantly more happy than I was before. Each day that I continue to lose weight, I wonder what it would have been like if I never started the diet, and am incredibly happy that I decided to make such an important change in the way I eat, which ultimately helped my diet in the end. I also have been playing soccer since I was around three, and it has been really tough being an overweight soccer player. There was one game I remember in particular where I went on the field, and the girls from the other team just looked at me and laughed, and all I could remember was just wanting to run off and cry. As i have lost weight, I have been more successful in my ability to cover ground on the field, and more confident on the ball, and in general.
