About Me

About Me:
My name is Jake and I am passionate about leading my Offensive Line as Center as well as being a Defensive Tackle. I have loved playing football since I was in grade school and have found my enthusiasm for the game get even stronger because of the feeling of family that I have with my teammates, the opportunity to perfect the details of my skilled position and my ability to strongly contribute towards my teams’ common goals. Football has challenged me to be my best and I love showing my team that I will "do whatever it takes" to help us all succeed together.

I started playing tackle football on a club team when I was 12 and because my team was so small (16 players) I played almost every down on both the offensive and defensive line, eventually finding the position that I live and breathe - Center.

I was the starting center for 3 seasons prior to high school ball and because my teams ran a shotgun offense I got a ton of practice making my shotgun and under-center snaps strong, quick and accurate.

I won the Center position on the Freshman team and continued as the starting center for my entire freshman year. I transferred to Notre Dame Preparatory Academy my Sophomore year and played on both the JV and varsity teams. I was the starting Center on the varsity team for the 2020 season and will be the starting Center for the upcoming 2021 season as well.

I was very grateful that my teammates nominated me for the 2018 Freshman Offensive Lineman of the Year award and now I am working on perfecting my skills at the Center position and getting experience at Defensive Tackle.

I have committed my off-season efforts to improving my hand and foot work via training camps led by former NFL linemen while also attending speed training workouts. Our Notre Dame prep team was 2 wins away from a 5A State Championship in 2019 and 2 wins away from winning the 5A State Championship in 2020 despite losing several key players. We are going to get back at it in Spring ball and we will win this 5A Championship in 2021!

I am taking predominantly Honors and AP classes in High School and my academic goal is to graduate with at least a 3.5 GPA.  Upon graduating high school I want to join a collegiate team and lead their offensive line as a Center and do my part to help the team win a Division Championship and then a National Championship.  After my undergraduate education I will be obtaining an MBA or Law degree, but after that my goal is to play in the NFL as a Center or Long Snapper.
