I started playing soccer at the age of eight years old in elementary school, as it was the only sport I hadn't tried yet at the time. Despite a terrible first season with my school, I fell in love with the sport. Since then, I've lived as if soccer was my religion. It has become a part of who I am.
In 2012, I received my first club team invite after I scored the winning free kick in an AYSO playoff game. I tried out for the team, F.R.A.M, and made the squad but was unable to join due to insufficient funds within my family. I wasn't able to join a club team until 2015.
After joining my first club team, Pacific Coast Soccer Club, my desire to play soccer in college intensified. I became more serious about the sport and advancing my own skills. My hardwork and determination manifested in numerous varsity awards from my high school, individual success in my club team, and an invitation to play for Southbay LA Galaxy.
I have since joined the team as a starting defender and I intend to progress my abilities so that I can take the next step to play college level soccer.
