laying multiple team sports has shaped who I am, but soccer is my true passion. I began playing at five, and what started as something “just for fun” quickly became a constant and defining part of my life. While it remains joyful, soccer has grown into something far more meaningful.
Through its highs and lows, I’ve learned hard work, discipline, and perseverance. I’ve also pushed myself to overcome anxiety about speaking up due to my stutter—especially as JV captain my sophomore year—becoming a stronger teammate and communicator. That leadership role helped me grow both mentally and physically. Although I hoped to make varsity that year, I was honored to serve as captain. This season, I earned a spot on the Varsity team as a forward.
Beyond team practices, I train independently at Champion’s Quest and the YMCA, focusing on speed, agility, skills, and strength. My resilience extends to academics: I maintain a 3.98 unweighted / 4.5 weighted GPA. Learning has not always come easily, and I often work twice as hard to keep up—but I am determined to excel.
To prepare for collegiate soccer, I’ve attended camps at John Carroll University and UC Santa Barbara, along with multiple college ID camps (Pleasanton, Irvine, Las Vegas, Long Beach, and Arizona). After a year with Culture FC, a small Brazilian club that helped rebuild my confidence and love for the game, I returned to larger clubs—first Beach, competing at the NPL and F1 levels as a dual-rostered player, and now CDA Slammers Long Beach on their National League Tier 1 team. Each step has challenged me mentally, socially, and athletically.
Due to family health issues, I am finishing my junior year in Arizona, completing coursework online through St. Joseph High School and guest playing with NOS Santos 09 Blue. My family plans to spend my senior year in Ohio.
Outside of soccer and academics, I volunteer with children and animals. I teach swim lessons, babysit, and work as a certified YMCA lifeguard and swim instructor. I also foster dogs and cats through local animal shelters including Little Lion Foundation and Yogi’s House. I am also a member of the Cards for Care club (writing messages and letters to our troops and people that are hospitalized and/or in shelters.
I hope to pursue a career in medicine while playing collegiate soccer. Above all, I have learned that belief in myself—especially when others may not—combined with humility, discipline, and relentless effort, will continue to guide me toward my goals.
