About Me

My name is Diego Rodríguez and I am a U17 soccer player with a decade's worth of experience in the game. I am currently a steadfast defender for my club FBS-FC and the International Studies Academy team in Broward, Florida, where I am also a proud junior. 

From the age of six, I've been dedicated to honing my skills, enhancing my knowledge of the game, and understanding the importance of every role on the pitch. I play with my heart and my mind, as I believe soccer is not just a physical game, but a tactical and intellectual one too.

Being a defender, I understand that my role is pivotal. I am the last line of defense and I take pride in this responsibility. My vision, tactical awareness, and ability to anticipate opponent's moves have been honed through relentless practice and years of playing experience.

I train five days a week, pushing my limits to get better each day. Three of those days are spent with my team FBS-FC where we focus on teamwork, strategy, and match preparedness. The other three days are spent at Bommarito Performance (

) , a high-level training program that focuses on individual skills, strength, speed, and agility. This regimen, combined with my dedication and hunger for growth, ensures that I am constantly improving as a player.

Off the field, I am an accomplished student at the International Studies Academy. I have always believed that the discipline, focus, and resilience required to excel in academics mirror the ones needed on the soccer field. As an aspiring collegiate athlete, I am confident in my ability to balance the rigors of challenging coursework with a demanding soccer schedule.

Being an ardent competitor, I am fueled by the desire to win and the pursuit of personal and team growth. The thrill of a hard-earned victory and the lessons learned from a well-fought loss both drive me to strive harder. 

As I look to the future, my goal is to continue my soccer career at a collegiate level. I believe that I can bring my tenacity, leadership skills, and competitive spirit to any team that I am fortunate enough to be a part of. Moreover, I am excited about the prospect of contributing to a successful college soccer program while earning a degree.
