About Me

Ever since I was little I grew up on soccer, my older sister and brother played it and I always went to there games. When I moved to Georgia I was finally able to play soccer because we weren't traveling as much. I've been playing soccer since I was 3, I started playing at Savannah United at 6 and it was great and by 9 I finally got on the upper team to play select so you can travel places to play but not to much. When I turned 11 I decided I wanted to do it alot so I went into a more upper area, and I made the team I thought I was doing great but the coach I had always brought me down by saying stuff like "I don't even know how you made it on my team" or "your not even good" all kinds of stuff along those lines, but I do have to thank her for making me realize I love playing goalie, when that season was over I got a new coach and I was playing up so I was in U15 when I was 13 and it was amazing we won states that coach made me realize what it was like to find a love and passion for soccer, but then something bad happened. I had practice but my coach couldn't be there because she had a coaches meeting so it was a few other different coaches I'm a goalkeeper and we were playing 3 v 3 and I've always had problems with 3 v 3 because I always end up getting hurt but I was feeling good and I decided to go up against the biggest girl as a forward, not the best decision, I had the ball and my back towards her blocking her from the ball I started turning to go to the goal she puts her leg in between mine and BOOM I'm on the ground crying cant bend or move my leg. I tore my MCL and the doctor didn't figure it out till almost a year later, I would continuously dislocate it so then I go to therapy get it strengthened and good go back out there and then it happens again, it wasn't only in soccer it would dislocate, if I was walking a wrong way, if I stepped wrong, anything would trigger it. We finally got to talk to a surgeon after a year he told us what was going on and he recommended surgery so I got the surgery June 12, 2020. I had a really hard recovery but I'm doing alot better I can run without pain, the only problem is I haven't really gotten back into soccer because I'm nervous I'm going to get hurt, like before I was so upset and over it and ready to get back into it not being scared but after it dislocates almost 30 times you get more nervous and scared. I would still love to play soccer but I'm just nervous getting back into it.
