About Me
Hello, I'm Blake Mueller -
thank you for your interest! I am currently in my senior year of high school
and my fourth year of playing football in the amazing program at Conant High
School in the Chicago suburbs. Some of the biggest people that have influenced
who I am today are my mom, siblings, coaches, and teammates. My passion for
football has been facilitated throughout my life by my friends and family.
Football has taught me is that it takes more than just showing up to practice and games to achieve greatness, the same way it takes more than just showing up to help others. You need to do more than just go through the motions. You need to put forth your best effort to get the job done. Football has also helped me forge several lifelong friendships and taught me to be a better teammate in all aspects of my life. There is no other sport that bonds people in the way football does.
One of the biggest obstacles I have overcome to get where I am today is my shyness and overall lack of self-confidence. Through the help of my coaches, my peers, and my own personal experiences, I have learned to push myself to be stronger and more confident in my abilities.
Being the oldest of four siblings has taught me that I always must be in control of my own behavior, that I must be the bigger person in tough situations, and to always ensure that I am leading by example. As a multi-sport athlete, a major lesson that has been impressed upon me from my coaches in both football and basketball is the importance of communication. My ability to communicate has made me a better teammate both on and off the field. I have the unique ability to put others before myself without losing sight of who I am and what I want. As a leader, I help build a strong bond among a diverse group of personalities to achieve a common goal.
