About Me

For me, the love of softball is based not only in how great it feels to throw someone out or hit a home run, but also in how fun it is to think through and strategize each play. The position of catcher traditionally epitomizes the need for strong physical and mental aspects of the game, but each position mandates an intellectual game of deciding probabilities. My academic interests align well with this. Although I enjoy all of my classes, my favorite topics have been math and applied math such as accounting and investing. Outside of the classroom, I'm involved in Math Team, Business Club, Investments Club, and Women In Leadership. I am also a member of the Program Development Committee within my travel softball organization and a member of the junior board of Sarah’s Inn, which is an agency that provides comprehensive domestic violence support and services in Chicago and West Cook County. I am looking for a selective undergraduate experience during which I can play high level softball and earn a degree that prepares me well for a future in finance.
