About Me
I'm Zoie. I think the beginning of my story relates to a lot of people I know. As a little kid I hated running. Everyone else in my family loved it. Instead of running, I competitively cheered for 7 years. I loved cheering, it filled my heart with joy. When my dad wanted me to run cross country in 7th grade I thought he was crazy and I told him no. It took a lot of convincing, but I ended up doing it. Near the end of the season I realized if I worked hard enough, I could be good. Leaving competitive cheer was a very hard decision for me to make, but I chose to focus on running. Later in my 7th grade track season I was very glad I chose to run. I worked. I listened. I learned. I raced. I've kept working, listening, learning, and racing, all the while being thankful for my gift. I am proud of my own accomplishments, I am excited about my goals, but most of all I am ready to see what this sport has in store for me. I know that without my family I would have never gotten this far in running and I'm very thankful for them.
