About Me

My name is Brooke Robichaud and I am from West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Growing up, I participated in a variety of sports and learned how to be a team player. In 7th grade, I decided to try out for my school’s volleyball team. I played two years of JV in middle school and then was moved up to varsity my freshman year. Freshman year, I was able to play as a starting right side and learned to compete at a more challenging level. Also during freshman year, I chose to start club volleyball and played on a top 15s team. It was during this club season, that I discovered my love for setting. I was fortunate enough to have coaches who taught me a new position and furthered my passion for volleyball.  After this club season, I became a full time setter for my school’s team, as well as continuing my position as an opposite hitter.  My sophomore school season was extremely successful, and I was able to develop my skills to make my club’s 16 open team. Additionally, I was asked to play on a 17s team. Playing on these two teams allowed me to learn how to balance the stress of both academic pressures and an abundance of time needed for my athletics. Taking AP Statistics plus all honors, advanced classes presented a need for time management.  My junior year was a time when I not only bettered my skills, but also a gained a sense of confidence. I was chosen by my coach to be our teams’s junior captain and was given the responsibility to lead my team to playoffs. After our extremely successful school season, where we had an eighteen game win streak and ended up winning our league with a 21-3 record, I was awarded league MVP and All-Scholastic first team. My club experience was enhanced when I made Mass Premier’s top 18s team. Playing a year up in the 18 open division allowed me to play against committed seniors and other incredible teams. We ended our season with a 1st place win at NERVA championships.  I have also been coaching volleyball at Mass Premier, which has helped me enhance my sense of responsibility and leadership.
Since the first time I touched a volleyball, I have continued to have a commitment to the sport, a drive to excel, and a passion to play.  I hope to continue my volleyball journey by being part of a college volleyball team!
