Other Sports:
I am also a kicker on the Portland High School varsity football team, this past season we made it to the third round of the playoffs, it was also my first season of playing football. During my freshman year I also wrestled, although I only had 1 season of middle school wrestling as my experience, I was able to finish the season with a 16-4 record.
Hobbies:
My hobbies include soccer, fishing, hunting, camping, weight training, collecting sports cards and spending time with my family as we are quite close knit.
My Family:
I live with my parents, Stephen and Bethany and my younger sister, Ava(she's also a very good soccer player), she's a freshman this year and I am looking forward to watching her play on the high school team, I'm pretty sure she'll do great! We also have two foreign exchange students, Lorenz from Germany and Ignacio from Spain, we also hosted Diego from Spain last year. The exchange students are fun and it's a great cultural experience them and for my family. My dad has been a police officer for 15 years, before that he was in the Army. My mom works for an insurance company and audits doctors offices. We have two dogs, Jake and Teddy!
I have been playing soccer for about 10 years. I started playing AYSO soccer to see if it was something that I liked and I LOVED it! This spring will be my first full season with MFA Revolution. I was looking for a step up in competition and training opportunities, MFA provided that opportunity. Prior to MFA Revolution, I played with Nationals Capital Area for 4 years. In 2017, my family moved away from my first travel team, VARDAR Mid Mich. I have been a starter on the Portland High School varsity soccer team since my freshman season.
I consider myself to be a good teammate as I like to push my teammates to help us get better as a team. I get as much enjoyment out of assisting on a goal as I do scoring, just as long as my team wins! On the field, I play hard and aggressive and I'm not afraid of contact. One of my favorite things to do on the field is to try and set up teammates with a scoring opportunity, especially the ones who don't get to play very often.
It has been a goal of mine to try and play soccer at the college level and I believe my heart and passion for the "beautiful game" would show that. I have been preparing for an opportunity by attending camps and training daily on my own by putting myself through drills and watching training videos and weight training.
I have recently submitted my request to the NCAA Eligibility Center, the follow is my ID number;
NCAA ID - 2304875569
Some recent items:
I was nominated for the Lansing State Journal Athlete of the Week(9/14) for scoring (3) goals in my high school soccer teams first round district game and then making 4 of 5 extra points and 5 touchbacks for my football team just two days later. In our second round of soccer district play I had several shots on goal scoring the tying goal, unfortunately my high school soccer career ended in this game as our opponent scored the winning goal with 4 minutes left in the second overtime period. I was able to have some success though as I went 6 for 6 on extra points in my next football game. My football teammates and I are still undefeated(9-0) and are entering the playoffs this week! Unfortunately, our football season ended one game before the state championship, we finished the year 12-1! Although football isn’t my first sport, it taught me a lot during the season! The work and effort that goes into it, teamwork, and being able to compete on a high level even though my body was pretty beat up, especially because I was playing soccer and football during the same season!
Although my high school soccer career is over and football is still being played, I continue to train for soccer in my free time as I am excited for my ECNL club season to begin.
I have maintained a 3.5 gpa and was recently nominated for the National Honor Society! I take great pride in the fact that I was able to work a part time job, play two sports, and keep my grades at a high level!.
