About Me

My name is Ava Simpson and I am a 2026 Nebraska OF/UTIL for Nebraska Thunder (A). My coaches have always praised my leadership, coach-ability, and eagerness to improve, and learn. I have been playing softball for 12 years from T-ball to high school. I have a huge passion and love for the sport. I knew since I was ten years old that I want to play collegiate softball. I am a utility player, but frequently outfield/middle-infield. I am a straight A student with a 4.75 GPA, ranked 4/406 in my class. I am very involved at school with being Class Secretary, in Student Council (Rep), LINK Peer Mentorship (Rep), Editor in Chief of Newspaper, PEW (Promoting Empowerment in our World), Unified Bowling, and Circle of Friends. I am not 100% sure what I would like to go to college for but a few choices are sonography, radiology, and nuclear medicine technology I am open to all levels of competition that match with my future degree. Outside of being a student-athlete I serve at my church, volunteer, and have a part time job. I am beyond excited to see what is to come for my college softball career!!
