I grew up with it being just my mom and I. She never pressured me into doing anything as it pertains to sports. She allowed me to do anything I wanted until I called it my passion and of course basketball ended up being my passion. That is what I love about my mom. As a single mom she worked hard to make sure that I had everything I needed and wanted that would help me with being successful. I was diagnosed with ADHD and struggled a little in school with test taking being my biggest struggle. However, my mom did not play with me. She refused to allow me to use my disability as an excuse to not do my best. My mom stayed on me and rode me hard. She is and always will be my encourager, my # 1 supporter, and my #1 fan. Without my mom and I would not be the person I am academically, athletically, most importantly successfully.
