About Me
Hi, my name is Clayton Merrill and I am a rising senior at William A. Hough High School in Cornelius, North Carolina. I am 17 years old, 6'3" tall and weigh 230 pounds. I am a big guy with a big frame and continue to build muscle. I work really hard on and off the field. I am always one of the first to arrive at practice and the last to leave. During the school year I often workout up to three times a day. I lift at school, practice after school and then 3-4 times a week I have a personal trainer to keep developing my strength, speed and receiving skills. In the classroom, school has always been difficult for me. However, I never miss class and turn in all homework on time and a few evenings a week I work with a tutor. I have a very full schedule during the school year, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I feel a rigorous schedule brings a good work ethic. I know this experience will continue to help me through my life in the classroom and on the football field. Going to college to play football has always been a dream for me. I am listed as a TE/DE. I can block, catch, hold against a double team, make a tackle and I am not afraid to make a play. I take football and personal responsibility very seriously.
