Hello,
Hi, still can’t find the right fit for me, I’m hoping to find a school where I am feeling more like a community then a industry. If your looking for a true point guard, that will not only shoot from anywhere from the court with a very high percentage. During summer league, I led the team in points, steal. I will also get you more turnovers with my steals.i also play a very aggressive Defense. So with me a true point guard, I will not only score but will also be most likely the fastest and quickest on the court. Plus I will stop the other ro scoring every steal, ball I knock off them out of bounds, or turnover the possession arrow, then I may be the point guard for you !
I am Sierra Coleman, I attend a small private Catholic school in Pennsylvania. Our school may be very small, however we are well known for both our boys and girls basketball teams throughout the state. I have been playing basketball before kindergarten. When I was in third grade I knew I was different than the other girls so I asked my parent for coaches for gifts instead of toys for my birthdays and Christmas, so I ended up with a shooting coach, an endurance and weight coach, a three point shooting coach, a plyometric coach, a dribbling coach, plus the wonderful high school coaches that started coaching me from seventh grade on. It was my dream to be the best point guard that I could be, I listened and followed every Coaches rules, and I continue with all these coaches, Now they work for free, just to help me to achieve my athletic goal of playing at a higher level school in college. I have learned so much over these years and the funny thing is, I hear all the time, her parents pushed her, sure she is great but she will burn out. I did this for me, my parents hated basketball.
I started practicing with the varsity in seventh grade, I would do the seventh grade practice and coaches would hold me back for varsity. I never played a JV or Freshman game in my life. In AAU my freshman year I played on both a junior and senior team.
This year our HS team looks to be very good we are pre-ranked 3rd in the state and most likely to win the state championship. I hope we stay humble and play one game at a time.
Scholastically I am very serious and of course that is why I am attending college in the first place, I want to become a physical therapist. I was injured last year with a season ending injury, luckily I had literally the best surgeon in the country thanks to my dad and his medical connections. I am stronger , can jump higher, run faster, I was already the fastest member on our team, now I'm quicker, and so much more loose. I credit my surgeon and my PT. my surgeons routine had my PT busy, three hours five days a week . I was dying but I pushed and pushed and did everything he told I knew I had to if I wanted to reach my dream.
I saw how my PT taught me to walk, then, run, then, sprint, then jump I want to be able to help others learn this. I know I have the ability and the personality so the school I go to has to have a 4+ 3 or 4+4 or even a Pre - PT program with connections to a therapy school
A bit more Athletically about me, I'm a true point guard I play both offense and defense. I will get in the mix for a rebound and use my speed to get back or steal it, I can usually read a dribbling cadence run around quickly and steal the ball, no reaching so never a foul on my steals,I know that from coaches I spoke with there aren't many point guards that like defense, but any decent point guard can throw up thirty or so points not give any assists, I love blind passing, my team is always aware and looking especially if I'm over twenty points, I share , but this year coach wants ten more points before I do my passing around. Oh and I am ambidextrous I just started shooting lefty in HS, I used to shoot depending on what side I was on like a layup, so my dribbling is a bit advanced due to this, so I can drive through anyone or any amount of people you put in front of me. It will be up to the college coach to see what they want to do with this as well.
Thank you for reading my story.
