COACHES & REFERENCES
My Story
Big difference my senior year. New HC, and staff, brought new energy and enthusiasm to the program. Started from day one. Went 8-3 and won our first playoff game in our programs 3 year history. Lost to eventual 5A champions in the State Quarterfinals. Was grateful to receive All Conference Honorable Mention.
Junior year was much more productive from a team standpoint. 2nd year program, went 5-5, made the State Playoffs, losing to eventual State Champions in the first round. Last year as a first year program we were a disappointing 1-8.
Personally I grew a lot as a player. Played about half the snaps at 4 of the five offensive line positions. Great learning experience, and showed my versatility.
I have been told I’ll be the starting center my senior year, but our head coach was let go, so we’ll see what next year has in store for me.
Not playing baseball this year, going to concentrate on the weights and agility to be in the best shape I can be for a big senior year.
Sophomore season was fun. New high school, new team mates, but also a little frustrating. First year school, that can be the case sometimes. Not a real successful season record wise, but learned a lot, especially about adversity and challenges. Individually I did pretty well.
I was a swing player, as a 10th grader, I would play the J. V. game on Thursday night, and move up to varsity on Friday’s. I was named J. V. Offensive Lineman of the Year, and I played enough on Varsity to earn a letter. In the Spring I played baseball as a corner infielder, pitcher, and designated hitter. Back at Spring football this week, then a summer of football and summer baseball. Gotta grind.                 I just finished my Freshman season at Rocky Mountain High School as the starting center and long snapper. We finished 6-1. They just completed a brand new school called Owyhee High School that I will be attending in the fall. I had to transfer because our house is in the new schools boundary. I am leaving a program that just won the Varsity Idaho 5A state championship, and starting a new chapter of being part of building a new program. New challenges and hard work has already begun, but am really looking forward helping start a new program. Going to be a unique experience, but I welcome it and am looking to do big things with my teammates in the next 3 years. I also play baseball as a 3rd baseman and pitcher. I played this past season on the Rocky Freshman team and plan to continue at Owyhee. In 2019 I had the honor of representing the Pacific Northwest in the Cal Ripken World Series with my Meridian 12/70’s All Star Team.
As for my future, I want to continue my education and athletic career at the college level. I am interested in all divisions to find the right fit.
