COACHES & REFERENCES
My Story
I have committed to Shaw University. I'm Amarie Daniels and I'm senior at Jack Britt High School located in Fayetteville North Carolina. I'm the oldest child on my mom's side and the third oldest on my dad's side. My football career started in first grade when my mom signed me up for a youth football travel league. My love for the sport came when I played my first game. My father played football in middle school and high school. He was well known for his play on the field and I've been living up to everyone's expectations. I played football with the travel leauge until I was able to play middle school football in the seventh grade. In the seventh grade I played both sides of the ball and shined more on defensive side. Going into my freshman year my goal was to play varsity. A varsity coach told the head coach he should move me up to play varsity. The Varsity head coach came and watched me practice. He said I needed more time. The other coach said I'm telling you we need him or defense. I was allowed go to the scrimmage and to play with varsity. I ended the game with six solo tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble/fumble recovery. My stuff was moved from the jv locker room to the varsity locker room. First two games of the season I got some playing time in the 4th quarter. By the third game I was a starter because of my hard work in practice and in my classes. That season I recieved the Future Cougar award. That summer I moved to Fayetteville North Carolina where I started playing football for Jack Britt High School. My position changed from defensive end to nose guard. I spent my sophomore year as back up and got some playing time. Started my junior season and ended my six game season with 20 tackles. I received the ugly helmet award. Now I'm a senior and I'm ready to level up.
