My name is Kaden Lewis and I’m in my Senior year at Arlington Sequin  High School. I am 6 ft 3inches 250lbs. Defensive End.  My GPA is 3.39 and I am pursuing the study of Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Football is alot like life.  In playing football,  I have learned to play through adversity and injuries.  Football has also taught me that if you want something bad enough, you will sacrifice and put in the work to get what you want.  I get overlooked sometimes because of my size, but I am a playmaker and I'm not afraid to go after the ball. I am quick for my size and I have good footwork. I know that I can make a difference on your team. I am aware that talent can only take you so far, the rest is about how hard I'm willing to push myself to get to where I want to be in life.  This applies to both on and off the field.  My dad always said “It’s called student-athlete for a reason.  You have to put just as much work into being a great student as you do at being a great athlete.“  I am willing to put in that work to succeed both on and off the field.  For me, sports and academics take priority.  Student  comes before the Athlete. I come from a football family.  I am the youngest of 3 boys.  My brothers are 11 and 14 years older than me, so I am determined to make a name for myself, as well as representing my family.   My dad got a football scholarship for a full ride in college, as well as both my older brothers. I feel that most athletes have a dream to go D1,  but sometimes that's not the case.  In my opinion, you don’t have to be a D1 athlete to get to where you want to be in life.  I am happy to be part of any college program and I know when it’s my time to shine on the field.....I will shine bright.
