I am Abby Faris, a senior at Northwest High School in Justin, Texas. I would like to introduce myself to you as a potential recruit for your collegiate volleyball program. I have played volleyball for eight years and I find great joy in the sport. For my high school career, I have played middle and right side for my high school and club teams. I also played basketball through middle school and my first two years of high school as a post. I am right handed, 140 lbs, 5’9’’ with a reach of 7’2” and I currently have a vertical jump of 23.5 inches. I hope to continue playing volleyball in college and I believe I can contribute to your program. The team focus and competitiveness of the game have positively impacted my life and I look forward to forming more relationships with my future teammates and continuing to work hard to contribute to the team’s success.

I am ranked in the top 5% of my class with a 3.9 unweighted GPA and a 5.73 weighted GPA. This past year I was enrolled in three College Board Advanced Placement courses and two dual credit OnRamps courses through the University of Texas at Austin. I finished my junior year with all A’s. I am a member of my the Northwest ISD STEM Academy and I am interested in majoring in engineering or computer science. I lead on campus by being a member of the National Honor Society, Northwest ISD’s Superintendent Advisory Council, NHS Volleyball Leadership Council, and I am an officer on the STEM Academy’s Council. Additionally, I am an active member of First Baptist Church of Keller and I participate and lead in the youth group.
