Hello to my future Coach!

My name is Michael Murray and I am excited to talk about my preparation for college with you.  I don't know exactly what I would like to major in or study in college yet. I have a few ideas that include music, kinesiology, and technology. I am a hard working student and strive to do my best in whatever I do.

My family, church, friends and basketball are the most important things in my life. I am the oldest of 3 kids and am what they call "The Responsible One". Although I have played and did well in many sports throughout my life (baseball, track, football), I really enjoy the sport of basketball most.  At school, my focus is in my classes, playing my instrument (trombone) and basketball. I dedicate the majority of my time to perfecting my game and getting more training outside of my coaches at school.  I tend to keep to myself because I don't like being a part of things that go against my upbringing and I don't like being around trouble. All of my teachers past and present will tell you that I am a respectful student and wish they had more Mikey's in their classes. That is what makes me different from many of fellow students and team mates. I listen to the adults in my life and take in what they are trying to teach me. I don't talk trash on the court and refuse to disrespect my coaches with backtalk.

I am very nervous about this next chapter of my life but am excited to see what's to come. I hope you consider me as a future member of your school and team.
