Hello, my name is Taniya Logart! Starting sports wasn't originally in the cards for me until I asked my parents if I could be a cheerleader. Not realizing that cheer was a sport, I did cheer competitively until I was 11. After that, I realized I wanted to do more from an athletic standpoint. I was in the sixth grade when volleyball came into my life. I was introduced to the sport by my mother and grandmother. Once I learned that I can really play, I became obsessed. This is my second year playing club for JCJV, and I love it!
During my freshman year, I made varsity for the volleyball, basketball, and softball team. Currently, I get private instruction for passing and diving for balls twice a week. I'm determined and eager to take my game to the next level. I'm very coachable and a great all-around athlete. I look up to others that have come before me for guidance, and take notes from them on how to be a great leader. I know there's a lot more to come for me, and I am excited to see where volleyball takes me next.
