My Story
My teammates call me “Big Jon”.  I’m part of the class of 2020 at Christopher High School in Gilroy CA. Football has sparked a competitive nature in me along with a passion for sports that I’ve never felt or experienced before. This set the foundation to where and who I am now.
Where am I now? Well looking back at my freshman year, I now realize that a high GPA is what’s going to get me into college. It is my personal goal to raise my GPA this year and in the future. As for football, in the off-season I will be building my strength and endurance by competing in Track & Field, Swimming and weight room. I would like to share a quote from my freshman lineman coach, Skip Bloom. He said to my parents, with tears welling up in his eyes. “It’s not often, but once in a great while a player comes along that we as coaches know has great potential to impact our football program and to be scouted, we feel Jonathan has that ability. He’s so smart and coachable and there’s just something special about this kid”.
I am looking to go to a college with a great academic and athletic atmosphere. I am open to many different types of schools but would prefer one where I can balance football and academics while pursuing a degree in Math/Astrophysics. With my parents influence, I am an honest, humble, never give up type of guy who gets along with everyone. This makes me a positive influence on and off the field. As a smart athletic player I have the ability to read the opposition which could greatly impact the right football program. I am not only prepared to show my loyalty and dedication but also conduct myself as a direct reflection of my team, coaches and the school I represent not only for 4 years but my entire life. I believe that with the right school I can and will achieve my full potential.
