I began coaching because there was a group of young ladies that needed a coach. I served 25 years in the military and retired in December 2025. I started coaching because of a group of young girls, 12 years old, needed someone to be a coach or they would have to break up. I took that team over in 2019/2020 during COVID and with all the uncertainty I kept coaching the girls. I currently still coach 5 of those girls and now getting ready to push them into college next year.

I began coaching college softball because working with young adults mean something to me. Being able to mentor these young ladies and using my military experience by helping them navigate both their personal and academic/athletic journey is something I pride myself on. SCU has opened a door for me I didn't think I would ever have the opportunity to walk through.
