Dr. Shedrick D. McCall Jr. is an American football coach and former collegiate running back who currently serves as the running backs coach at Virginia State University. Originally from Richmond, he played college football at Maryville College before beginning a coaching career that spans more than 25 years in youth, high school, and collegiate football. Prior to joining Virginia State, he coached at Trinity Episcopal School, helping develop running backs and contributing to successful programs that reached the playoffs and won championships. In addition to his football background, McCall holds advanced degrees, including a doctorate in counseling psychology, and is known for emphasizing academics, leadership, and personal development alongside athletic performance. ????
