Sports have always been a building block for my life. Helping me grow and develop, I have played ice hockey at a travel team level, for 10 years and football for two years.  I started football 3rd string on JV. However, over the course of 6 months, I trained and fought to be a starter on the Defensive Line on Varsity.  I am DT on one of the best teams of my school’s 118 year history, etching myself and my team into the school’s history. I’ve learned that sports are not only great examples of competition, but help people prepare for the real world. Discipline and mental toughness are the core fundamentals of our program and as such, have shaped me into an entirely new person, through these desirable difficulties. These experiences helped me pursue a brighter future for myself and chase better opportunities. I have been fortunate enough to be a part of a strong-willed program, turning around an 0-10 year to an 11-2 year in just two years. Winning district, bi-district and semi-area for the first time in our school’s history. I’m looking for a school that will help me seek academic prowess and challenge me athletically. I’m a person who values challenge, sacrifice and grit above all else and I know i can compete on a college level for my sport.
