Hi, my name is Amina Rutherford, I am a freshman at Leon High school in Tallahassee, Florida. I am an honors student with a GPA of 3.39. My hobbies are, drawing, reading, listening to music, collecting sunglass, watching and playing sports, helping my Dad in the garage and my Mom in the kitchen. I first became interested in the game of basketball in the 5th grade while watching Lebron James on TV. I joined the City of Tallahassee basketball league my 6th-grade year and played for the Sparks as a Small Forward. For the following two years I played for the City and joined my middle school teams as well. My eighth-grade year I played for the Cobb middle school basketball team where I was a starting forward and center as well as a starting forward for the City of Tallahassee Liberty basketball team. Both of these teams went on to win their respective championships. I also played soccer, volleyball, and join the Track team where I competed in the relays, the 100, the 400, high jump, and the shot put. I look forward to becoming a well-rounded student-athlete and a dynamic basketball player that produces results on the court. I am a hard worker who loves the game of basketball. My goal one day is to play for a college-level team and make it to the WNBA.
