Christopher “CJ” Carboni is a 2026 defensive back/nickel from Colonie Central High School in New York. At 5’9” and 185 pounds with a 4.58-second 40-yard dash, he plays with a physical, aggressive style and brings versatility to the secondary.
CJ was a two-year team captain and earned Defensive Player of the Year honors in his section. He is known for his toughness, leadership, football IQ, and relentless effort on every snap. Despite being considered undersized by some, he consistently competes against larger athletes through preparation, discipline, and physical play.
As a nickel defensive back, CJ is comfortable supporting the run, covering slot receivers, and making plays in open space. He takes pride in being coachable, dependable, and a high-character teammate who leads by example both on and off the field.
