Hi my name is Eliza Poole, I go by Eliza or Liza. I am an 18 year old senior at Ben Davis High School with a 4.38 weighted GPA. I am currently enrolled in the Vincennes University Early College Program through Area 31 at Ben Davis High School. I am on track to graduate June 2023 with an Associates of Applied Science along with a Technical Honors Diploma. I have been playing volleyball for approximately 8 years: 2 years rec, 2 years junior high, 4 years high school and club. Needless to say, I love all things volleyball. My coaches often refer to me as their utility player. They can throw me in any position and I will get the job done. During club season my positions are MB or OH.  For my high school team my primary position is DS/Libero but I also play Setter and OH when needed. This year, I was nominated as team captain for my high school team. I was also recognized by the IHSAA for exemplary sportsmanship and leadership on the court, and MaxPreps  for Player of the Match August 30th, 2022 and September 22, 2022.  As Team Captain I have really enjoyed helping my coaches, teammates, and also organizing team bonding events. In addition to volleyball I also enjoy weight lifting. I currently squat 285lbs, bench 170lbs, and clean 150 lbs. My short term goals are to play college volleyball while pursuing my Bachelors in Exercise Science.  My long term goals of combining my love for sports and healthcare and becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy.Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
