Growing up my dad was super athletic. From being the star at the football fields, to tack and cross country, baseball, and a round of basketball he always knew he wanted an athletic kid. My dad went to college for football, but ended up dropping out his sophomore year due to something tragic happening. I lost my mom when I was 3 years old, only a month from turning 4. My dad had put my brother into baseball after it happened, then figured out that it wasn't for him. He finally put me in t-ball as soon as I turned 4. As I had a gifted talent, my dad knew that it was meant for me. Growing up, I started out at our league, CJC, until I was 8. I started practicing with MOJO to help me get better, but couldn't stay on the team because of financial issues. This is when I decided I wanted to play at a higher level after I graduate. After a couple months of practicing with them, my dad got a call from the Franchise 07 coach and it changed my life forever. In 2017, my dad got a blood clot in his leg and had to get it amputated. It was from there I decided that I really loved softball and I needed to do it for him. I was on the team until we split up in December of 2019. We had our great run with this amazing team but God knew it was our time to let go of eachother. After that I had to team hop because the teams we were on wouldnt stay together. We went to Dirt Divas, Shock, OOC, Gators, Illusions Gold, and now my current team GT Shockers. Me and my family have had ups and down to get to where we are today, and have managed to fight through it, but I wouldn't change it for the world. My love for softball has only grown bigger and better, and the way I look at the world has become different. I made a promise to myself that I will not only do it for my dad, but for the little girl who has dreams of making it somewhere.
