I have been playing soccer since I was 6 years old. My mother pushed me to play and still pushed me to work as hard as possible to achieve my goals. I played one year when I was very young and I remember quitting the same year. I started to play again because all my friends at my elementary school played and encouraged me to try again. I couldn't be more thankful that I decided to try again. I could not compete in middle school due to COVID-19 but continued to train hard in the offseason. Moving into high school I made the JV team freshman year. However, towards the end of the year, my shoulder dislocated multiple times requiring surgery and leading me to miss my sophomore year. I was able to overcome this hurdle after a long 6 months of physical therapy and trained all summer to make the varsity year this year. I am thankful for all my coaches and teammates that have encouraged me throughout the years. I am glad to be entering my senior year and want to continue developing both as a student and as a player.
